INTERACTIVE DATA EXTENDS OTC DATA AVAILABLE VIA PRIMETERMINAL
Financial Desktop Offers Comprehensive Off-Exchange Trade Data
Frankfurt, 28 October 2010 – Interactive Data Corporation, a leading provider of financial market data, analytics and related solutions, today announced that it has significantly expanded the range of OTC data available via PrimeTerminalTM Professional, its customisable financial desktop. The selected information, drawn from global market makers, is regularly updated during the trading day and can be accessed via pre-defined market views.
Interactive Data’s clients now have access via PrimeTerminal to the World Currency Unit (WOCU), a standardised basket currency derivative quotation based on the real-time exchange rates of the currency pairs of the world’s top 20 nations as determined by IMF measures of GDP. As part of an agreement with WDX Organisation Ltd., who created the WOCU, Interactive Data is calculating the exchange rates between the WOCU and leading currencies, and making this information available through a range of its services.
In addition, a number of prestigious banks and brokerage firms have become data contributors to PrimeTerminal, providing global central bank rates from the Federal Reserve and the European Central Bank. Additional Forex (spot and forward transactions), money markets (interest and forward rate agreements, interest rate swaps) and bonds data is now available, while existing forward rate agreements and interest rate swaps data has been enhanced and is now available for approximately 20 international currencies.
“One of our top priorities is to continuously expand the depth and breadth of our data,” said Carsten Dirks, global managing director of Wealth Management Products at Interactive Data. “The combination of our valuable data content and innovative visualisation and analysis tools is making PrimeTerminal Professional a compelling solution for our clients.”
PrimeTerminal Professional’s functionalities and data range can be tailored specifically to the advisory and sales processes in private banking and asset management. PrimeTerminal is easy to use and offers access to a wide range of data, including real-time quotes, historical and reference data, as well as performance indicators, company data, business reports and analysis. A firm’s own data, content management and customer relationship management systems can be seamlessly integrated.
“We are very pleased that IDC has done this”, said Michael King MD of WDX, adding it was pleasing how many organisations WDX are in talks with are using IDC data.
